A QR code that still works next year
Most free QR generators point the code at their own domain and redirect. Print a thousand of those and you are renting your own packaging from a stranger. This one puts your address inside the code, in your browser, so nothing can be switched off later.

Whatever you put here is inside the code itself. Nothing is sent to us, and there is no redirect through our domain — so the code keeps working even if this site does not.

A web address, or a Wi-Fi network, a phone number or an email — the code carries it directly.

Higher error correction makes a bigger code that still scans with a scuff across it. Worth it on a box.

Take the SVG
Sharp at any size, so it prints as well on a pallet label as on a business card. A PNG is there too.
What it does not do
- The code contains your address, so it cannot be edited afterwards. That is the trade for it never expiring: change where it points and you print a new code.
- There are no scan statistics, because counting scans would mean routing them through us, which is the thing this avoids.
- A logo in the middle is not offered. It works only at the highest error correction and only if it is small, and a code that scans nine times in ten is worse than no code.
Questions
Why do other generators expire and this one does not?
Because they put their own address in the code and redirect it to yours. That lets them edit the destination and count scans, and it also means the code stops working the day they take the redirect down, change their pricing, or go out of business. This one encodes your address directly. Nothing here can switch it off, including us.
How small can I print it?
About 2 cm across is the practical floor for an ordinary printer and an ordinary phone, and a longer address needs more room because it makes a denser code. Shortening the address is the single most effective thing you can do: fewer characters means fewer modules, which means each one is bigger at the same printed size. Print one and scan it before ordering a run.
Can I use my brand colours?
Yes, and the page warns you when the two are too close for a scanner to separate. That warning is worth reading: low-contrast codes look excellent on a screen and fail on paper, which is a mistake nobody notices until the boxes are printed. Keep the dark genuinely dark, and remember the light half has to stay light — an inverted code, light on dark, is not reliably readable.
Does anything I type reach your servers?
No. The code is worked out in your browser, including the error correction, and the SVG and PNG are made there too. You can disconnect from the internet after this page loads and it still works. That is also why there are no scan statistics: collecting them would require the code to point at us first.
