Installing

  1. 1 Open the link on the tablet, in Safari (iPad) or Chrome (Android).
  2. 2 Add it to the home screen so it opens full-screen without the browser bar.
  3. 3 Sign in with the staff account, then pick Waiter or Kitchen for that device.

Every published file is versioned and accompanied by a SHA-256 checksum. Installation requirements may vary by operating system.

Installing the Windows till

Five minutes on the till PC. You need a Vender user for the shop with the Employee role or higher.

What you need

Windows 10 (21H2 or newer) or Windows 11, 64-bit. A screen of 1024×768 or larger; touch is optional. Internet for the first sign-in and for syncing — sales keep working when the connection drops and upload when it is back. ARM64 tablets are not supported by this installer.

  1. 1. Run the installer

    Download VenderDesktop_<version>_x64-setup.exe on the till PC and double-click it. Follow Next → Install → Finish. A Vender Desktop shortcut appears on the desktop and in the Start menu.

  2. 2. Get past the Windows warning

    The installer is not yet signed with a Microsoft-recognised certificate, so Windows shows "Windows protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway. Your browser may also ask you to Keep the file.

  3. 3. First sign-in

    Open Vender Desktop and sign in with the shop's Vender username and password. If your shop runs Vender on a server in the building, open Connection Settings under the sign-in form and enter that address instead. Pick the location if the account has more than one, then wait for "Synced just now" before selling.

  4. 4. Choose the terminal mode

    Under Settings → Terminal, set Terminal mode: Retail for counter sales, Horeca for tables, courses and kitchen tickets, or Both. Cash denominations, approval thresholds and rounding come down from the admin app automatically.

To update later, download the newer installer and run it over the existing installation. Settings and any sales waiting to upload are kept.
